Hi there! We are Dan and Melissa Jones, owners of Rio River Retreat.  We are originally from Canyon, Texas where we owned and managed 2J Motor Co. for 29 years.  Dan and I have always talked and dreamed of owning a retreat center in the mountains and using it for ministry purposes.  Of course we envisioned much bigger, but as soon as we walked in this cabin we knew it was perfect.  We purchased it in March 2018 and moved here to South Fork in May 2019 after our son graduated from high school. 

Dan grew up coming to the South Fork area for vacation when he was a kid, and we continued the tradition with our family.  We love this area as it is a playground for adventure year round.  We enjoy camping, riding atv's, jeep trailing, skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, and snow mobiling...all of which we can do right here in our big back yard called the Rio Grande National Forest!   We have 2 grown children and a son in law who all live in the Denver area.  Our daughter Abbey and her husband Landon, just recently graduated from college and are working on establishing their careers in photography and real estate.  Our son Autry is currently attending Colorado Christian University majoring in Strategic Communications and also working on building a videography business.
