Hi there! We are Dan and Melissa Jones, owners of Rio River Retreat.  We are originally from Canyon, Texas where we owned and managed 2J Motor Co. for 29 years.  Dan and I have always talked and dreamed of owning a retreat cabin in the mountains and using it for ministry purposes.  Of course we envisioned much bigger, but as soon as we walked in the Lodge, we knew it was perfect for what our hearts desired. We purchased it in March 2018 and moved to South Fork in May 2019 after our son graduated from high school. 

Dan grew up coming to the South Fork area for vacation when he was a kid, and we continued the tradition with our family.  We love this area as it is a playground for adventure year round.  We enjoy camping, riding atv's, jeep trailing, skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, and snow mobiling...all of which we can do right here in our big back yard called the Rio Grande National Forest!
